Speech to Text lets you type with your voice in Confluence: dictate notes and comments in over 60 languages and add them right where you want them on the page. Templates, a signature, team words and voice commands sit in one Library beside the editor.

Dictate straight into the page
Click the microphone and speak; fix the text in a rich editor, then add it to the page — above or below the macro, at the top or the end — or post it as a comment, with your own permissions.
Templates and a signature, one click away
The Library keeps your templates, signature, team words and voice commands beside the editor. Insert at the cursor, type ”/” or say “insert template sync notes”. Space admins and Confluence administrators share space and site templates.
Voice commands in 10 languages
Say “comma”, “new paragraph”, “bold that” or “insert signature” while you talk. “add to page” and “add comment” post with a 3-second cancel — in English, German, French, Spanish and six more.
Also included
- 60+ languages, 101 regional variants in a searchable list.
- Team words — “pager duty” becomes PagerDuty in everyone’s dictation in the space.
- Dictate while editing — Copy text and paste with the formatting kept.
- Private or public macro — only the page owner, or everyone who can view the page.
- Images and files attached to the page as you, shown as Confluence images.
- Drafts kept for two weeks, a keyboard shortcut and Stop after a pause.
Runs on Atlassian
Built on Atlassian Forge: writes use your Confluence permissions, templates, words and signatures are stored inside your Atlassian site, and the app’s code talks only to Confluence. Speech is recognised by your browser’s own speech service. See the privacy policy.

Frequently asked questions
How do I add dictation to a page?
Edit the page, type /speech and insert the Speech to Text macro. After publishing, dictate in it and add the text to the page — after or before the macro, at the start or at the end — or as a comment.
Can I dictate while editing a page?
Yes. Dictate in the macro, press Copy text and paste where you want it; the formatting comes along. The app never changes a page while you edit it.
Who sees the macro?
With the default Private scope only the page owner; with Public scope everyone who can view the page, who can then add comments by voice.
Does the app hear or store my audio?
No. Your browser's own speech service recognises the speech; the app never receives, sends or stores audio.
Can the whole space or site share templates?
Yes. Space admins save space templates, team words and a default signature; Confluence administrators save site templates and a site signature. Everyone who uses the macro gets them, and their own entries win.
What permissions does the app ask for?
Read and write Confluence content, so your comment or page text is written as you; read Confluence users, to check whether you administer Confluence and to fill your name in a signature; and app storage for templates and words.
Where is my data stored?
Templates, words and signatures stay in the app's Forge storage inside your Atlassian site, not with Simplify. Drafts and settings stay in your browser. Only the audio leaves Atlassian, sent by your browser to its own speech service.
How much does it cost?
Free for up to 10 users; larger sites pay per user on the Atlassian Marketplace, with a free trial.
